Niersteiner Paterberg, Ertrag unter 25hl/ha, 40 Jahre alte Stöcke, umveredelt auf eine Selection Massale tre fine, Handlese, Gärung im großen Fuder, Soutirage, kaum unterstoßen, 20 monatiger Barriqueausbau in gebrauchten Fässern von Louis Latour, unfiltriert, ungeschönt, leicht geschwefelt und ohne Pumpe von Hand abgefüllt, Naturkork, gefüllt am Weingut Diel mit KP Keller.

This wine is bottled in memory of our dear friend Felix Peters, who left us far too early.
Paterberg 2022 is hand-bottled, sealed and labeled by Caroline Diel, Kai Müller, KP Keller, the Peters family and friends to support his wife Anneke and their three children.
Those who loved Felix‘ wines know how passionate he was as a grower, with beautiful vineyards in the Zellertal and at the Roter Hang in Nierstein. Felix left behind not only his family but also a cellar filled with what are likely the best Pinot barrels of his entire career.
Kai, a close friend, Caroline, a study colleague, and I tasted the barrels and we were completely overwhelmed by the quality. We carefully selected the best of the best and, in early summer, hand-bottled this beautiful juice by gravity- without any filtration.
Together, we created this cuvée in Felix‘ honor intending to build a small monument to his legacy. This wine will not only celebrate his life but also remind us of the joy Felix brought to each of our gatherings. Every cork popped and every glass raised will be an homage to his spirit, ensuring that he is remembered in a way he would have loved!
